Kawasaki's 2026 Lineup: What Texas Riders Need to Know

Published April 2026  |  Category: Gear & Reviews  |  texasridersunite.org

Kawasaki came out swinging for 2026 with one of the most diverse motorcycle lineups in the industry — over 36 models spanning everything from entry-level dual-sports to supercharged hypernaked beasts. Whether you're cruising the Hill Country, commuting through Houston, or hunting lap times at a track day, there's a 2026 Kawasaki built for you. Here's a breakdown of the standout models worth putting on your radar.

The Track Weapon: Ninja ZX-10R — $17,799

The ZX-10R returns for 2026 with what Kawasaki calls its next evolution. The 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled inline-four still produces 196 hp at 11,500 rpm and 84 lb-ft of torque at 11,300 rpm — numbers that haven't changed because they didn't need to. What did change is everything around that engine.

The redesigned front cowl features large winglets that significantly increase downforce at high speeds. Combined with updated chassis geometry, the new aerodynamic package enhances high-speed control, cornering performance, and overall circuit potential. Translation: it sticks to the road harder and turns faster than before.

Electronics are world-class — traction control, launch control, cornering ABS, engine braking control, cruise control, Ohlins electronic steering damper, and a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth. A special 40th Anniversary Edition ABS variant is available at $19,149 with unique graphics. This is Kawasaki's WorldSBK championship weapon made street legal.

Best for: Experienced riders, track day enthusiasts, sportbike addicts

The Supercharged Monster: Z H2 SE ABS — $21,999

If the ZX-10R isn't wild enough, Kawasaki's Z H2 SE ABS is a hypernaked bike featuring a 998cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder balanced supercharged engine. Forced induction on a naked bike — only Kawasaki.

It comes with Brembo Stylema Monobloc brake calipers, a Brembo front brake master cylinder, and steel-braided lines to rein in all that supercharged fury. Kawasaki Corner Management Function (KCMF), launch control, electronic cruise control and a full TFT display round out the package. This thing is a conversation starter at every gas station stop in Texas.

Best for: Experienced riders who want something truly outrageous

The Naked Middleweight: Z1100 SE ABS — $14,999

New for 2026, the Z1100 SE ABS is the crown jewel of Kawasaki's supernaked lineup. The liquid-cooled engine is 1,099cc, up from last year's 1,043cc. It also features taller fifth and sixth gears, a 4-2-1 exhaust system, and a slip/assist clutch for smoother shifting.

The bike is equipped with advanced cornering and anti-lock braking, traction control with three selectable modes, plus four ride modes: Sport, Road, Rain, and customizable Rider mode. At $14,999 it's a serious value play against the competition.

Best for: Riders wanting superbike performance in an upright, aggressive package

The Retro Classic: Z650RS ABS — $8,999

For Texas riders who appreciate style as much as speed, the Z650RS is a middleweight retro sport inspired by the legendary Z900RS. It features a parallel-twin 649cc engine, lightweight trellis frame, telescopic front fork and horizontal back-link rear suspension.

It looks straight out of 1970s Kawasaki heritage but rides with thoroughly modern manners. At $8,999 it's one of the best-looking bikes in its price range and dead simple to live with daily.

Best for: Riders who want head-turning style without a track-focused riding position

The Accessible Cruiser: Eliminator ABS — Starting at $7,649

Kawasaki built the Eliminator with a timeless design and an extremely welcoming riding position. A smooth and strong 451cc parallel-twin engine powers the bike, paired with a trellis frame designed with street riding in mind. Twin shock rear suspension, a round LED headlight and digital instrumentation with RIDEOLOGY app connectivity round out the package.

For newer riders or those wanting something easy to throw around Texas back roads without intimidation, the Eliminator hits the sweet spot.

Best for: New riders, casual cruisers, urban commuters
